Vilasini M. Shanbhag, M.D.

A graduate of Osmania Medical College of Osmania University in Hyderabad, India, Dr. Shanbhag was a surgeon for nine years in India and England. Upon moving to the United States in 1975, she embraced the field of radiation oncology, and completed a residency at Roswell Park Memorial Institute. She is board-certified in radiation oncology, and was recently honored with a fel- lowship from the American College of Radiation Oncology. Other memberships include diplomats of the American Board of Radiology, New York State Chapter representative for the American College of Radiology, American Society for Therapeutic Radiation and Oncology, Erie County Medical Society and past president of Buffalo Radiological Society. Dr. Panahan

Alvin M. Panahon, M.D.

Dr. Panahon received his medical degree from the University of the Philippines in Manila, and completed his residency at Roswell Park Memorial Center, where he later served as Associate Chief of Therapeutic Radiology. Dr. Panahon is board-certified in radiation oncology, and has published extensively on a wide range of cancer-related subjects. He opened and directed Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center's radiation oncology department, which was the first in Niagara County. Later, he facilitated the purchase, and continues to direct this facility under the guise of Radiation Oncology Group. His memberships include American Society of Therapeutic Radiology and Oncology, and the American Society of Clinical Oncology. Dr. Lee

Jeon H. Lee, M.D.

Dr. Lee graduated from the Catholic Medical Center in Seoul, Korea, and pursued his residency at the Hines Veterans Administration Hospital (Chicago), the Mount Sinai Hospital (Chicago), and the Northwestern University Wesley Memorial Hospital. Dr. Lee is board-certified in radiation oncology. He serves as director of radiation oncology in The Cancer Center at Brooks Memorial, which was opened by Radiation Oncology Group, in partnership with the hospital. Dr. Lee's memberships include American College of Radiation Oncology, American College of Therapeutic Radiology and oncology, Medical Society of Erie County (NY), Upstate New York Society of Therapeutic Radiology and Oncology, and The Radiological Society of North America. more info...

 


Mr. Pearce

John I. Pearce, M.Sc.

After receiving his degrees from the University of Exeter (England) and the University of London, Mr. Pearce continued in postgraduate work at the Radiotherapy Department of Middlesex Hospital in London. He is certified in Therapeutic Radiological Physics by the American Board of Radiology. Mr. Pearce has researched and published on the use and effects of therapeutic radiation in the treatment of cancer. He has served as an assistant professor for both the State University of New York at Buffalo's School of Medicine and Erie Community College. He is a member of the the American Association of Physicist in Medicine. more info...
